Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing International Trade Operations: managing the entire process of importing and exporting goods, including planning, coordination and execution
- Ensuring Compliance: staying up-to-date with and ensuring adherence to all relevant international trade laws, regulations and customs procedures
- Negotiating Contracts: with suppliers, freight forwarders to secure favourable terms for international shipment
- Coordinating Shipment: managing the logistics including arranging transportation, customs clearance and delivery
- Building Relationship: developing and maintaining strong relationship with suppliers, freight forwarders, custom brokers
- Analysing Market Trends: monitoring market conditions, identifying potential opportunities and developing strategies
- Managing Budgets: to ensure cost-effectiveness and to identify the cost-saving opportunities
- Problem Solving: addressing the challenges and issues that arise during the process such as customs delay, documentation errors or shipment disruptions
- Documentation: preparing and overseeing all necessary import-export documentations
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedure
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Experience in Export-Import operations
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
