Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing International Trade Operations: managing the entire process of importing and exporting goods, including planning, coordination and execution
  • Ensuring Compliance: staying up-to-date with and ensuring adherence to all relevant international trade laws, regulations and customs procedures
  • Negotiating Contracts: with suppliers, freight forwarders to secure favourable terms for international shipment
  • Coordinating Shipment: managing the logistics including arranging transportation, customs clearance and delivery
  • Building Relationship: developing and maintaining strong relationship with suppliers, freight forwarders, custom brokers
  • Analysing Market Trends: monitoring market conditions, identifying potential opportunities and developing strategies
  • Managing Budgets: to ensure cost-effectiveness and to identify the cost-saving opportunities
  • Problem Solving: addressing the challenges and issues that arise during the process such as customs delay, documentation errors or shipment disruptions
  • Documentation: preparing and overseeing all necessary import-export documentations

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedure
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
  • Proficiency in relevant software
  • Experience in Export-Import operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
