Key Responsibilities:
● Manage payroll processing from start to finish, including data entry, calculations,
and distribution of payments.
● Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
● Review and verify accuracy of payroll reports, including employee hours worked,
bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
● Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
● Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement
necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
● Coordinate with the team to ensure accurate employee information and proper
documentation for payroll processing.
● Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and payments in accordance with
deadlines.
● Generate various payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.
● Maintain payroll records and confidentiality of sensitive information.
● Train and supervise payroll staff, if applicable.
Qualifications:
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Bachelor’s degree in HR, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
● Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
● Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
● Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance
requirements.
● Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
● High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
● Leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
