The Job
- Design features and projects that are the building blocks to our application
- Help drive and build a practical, consistent, and beautiful user interface
- Lead discussions to gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with small functional squads from many facets of data science, engineering, product, and business to find elegant but practical solutions to design problems
- Be independent and have full ownership of your work as well as the responsibility for it at each step in the process
- Utilize solution-focused problem solving to think big picture, create many lo-fi solutions to one problem, observe their performance, iterate and distill on their results to find the best solution
- Embrace failure and continuously validate your designs in the real world

- You are a great designer with a pragmatic attitude towards design
- You understand that design is not simply a beautiful aesthetic
- You are comfortable with complex problems
- You’ve created and shipped numerous consumer products
- You understand what makes a great user experience and its relationship with great usability and interface design
- You have absolute attention to detail for pixel-perfect design
- You have the communication skills to help build frameworks and brainstorm initial concepts
- You have the ability to mentor others to deliver work and make strategy come to life
- Even though you are a great designer, you are constantly looking to improve designs through user feedback
- You have experience with user testing and you’re comfortable with applying results to your designs
- You have an updated portfolio that you can share with us
- You are able to provide a brief explanation in your application of why you are excellent for this role while highlighting your portfolio
Experience
- 1-4 years working as a professional UI/UX designer or equivalent
- Experience in Angular Framework
- Experience visualizing data
- Familiar with implementation practices and standards for your designs (HTML, CSS, JS)
- The ability to build/code your designs is a big plus
- Experience with data science & machine learning is a big plus
