We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong hands-on technical background and a solid understanding of business dynamics to lead our technical team in building a revolutionary product/platform. In this role, you will not only oversee the software development process but also bridge the gap between technology and business objectives, driving innovation and delivering value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Build, lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the successful delivery of product features.

2. Collaborate closely with leadership, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive value and innovation.

3. Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure software systems that meet business needs and industry standards.

4. Drive the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

5. Actively participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce coding best practices and standards to maintain code quality and scalability.

6. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

7. Analyze and mitigate technical risks and challenges, making informed decisions to ensure project success and alignment with business goals.

8. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

9. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating technical concepts and project updates to non-technical audiences.

10. Drive engineering team setup efforts by conducting technical interviews and grooming new team members.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

2. Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a proven track record of building and delivering scalable web-based applications and platforms.

3. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, such as JavaScript (React/Angular), Python (Django/Flask), or Java (Spring Boot).

4. Excellent understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building maintainable and scalable systems.

5. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and team development.

6. Solid understanding of business dynamics and the ability to align technical decisions with business objectives, driving value and innovation.

7. Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

9. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.

10. Previous experience in the hospitality industry or with property management systems is a plus.
