Job Description
We are looking for a Sr software Engineer java
Core Responsibilities:
Design and Develop application code for Java/J2EE applications, including web services and web components.
Maintenance and enhancement of existing Java/J2EE applications.
Write technical design documentation, create/update support procedure templates
Create unit tests for application code.
Troubleshoot problems (software, environment) and identify/implement solutions.
Second level support, System uptime, operational and LOB support.
Collaborate with QAs on integration and regression testing.
Focus on continuous improvement
Participate and lead release deployments to production
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of experience in systems development with 4+ years in Java /J2EE environment.
At least 4 of those 6 years of experience in UI development
Experience developing client facing, W3C standards compliant, AODA compliant web applications supporting multiple browsers and operating systems.
Minimum of three years working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
Experience working across international borders
Proven experience with Enterprise JavaBean (EJB), J2EE, JSP, JPA, Spring, and Web Services
Experience with DevOps and Angular will be an asset.
Understand responsive design and Strong knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of system development life cycle.
Knowledgeable of design pattern and data structures
Experience supporting 24×7 production applications.
Understands and values Business Partnerships and Customer perspectives
Able to deal with a broad spectrum of personality types.
Must have excellent communications and written skills.
Team player with positive attitude, ability to learn quickly, has good problemsolving skills and can meet tight deadlines.
