Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Web Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of server-side web applications. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, a passion for creating scalable and efficient backend systems, and a deep understanding of APIs, databases, and server-side technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend systems for web applications.
• API Development: Create, test, and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write complex queries, and ensure data integrity and security.
• System Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software architecture, requirements, and technical solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bottlenecks in the backend system.
• Security: Implement security best practices, including data protection, authentication, and authorization.
• Testing & Deployment: Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and assist in deploying backend systems to production environments.
• Documentation: Document code, system designs, and technical processes for team knowledge sharing and future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby, PHP, or .NET.
  • Strong experience with frameworks like Django, Express.js, Spring Boot, or Ruby on Rails.
• Database Expertise:
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• API Development:
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Version Control:
  • Proficiency in Git and version control workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Problem-Solving:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable solutions.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with front-end developers, designers, and project managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of microservices and serverless architecture.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience in backend web development.
